Version 2.2 Now Live – Sales Cycle Manager On Demand

Posted in News,Sales Cycle Manager,Sales Software by Dan Wood on the August 21st, 2011

Today we rolled out version 2.2 of Sales Cycle Manager On Demand, the sales opportunity management web application based on the patented OPM Sales Methodology.

New features include the ability to “clone’ or copy IBOs (sales opportunities), calculations in the products section, new information and ways to search in the IBO List, and a few bug fixes as well.

Clone IBOs

You can now create a copy of an IBO in the Planner, Forecast or IBO List view by highlighting the IBO and clicking the “Clone” button.

Calculations in Product Fields

Want to set pricing discounts? You can now create custom numeric Product Fields and set other fields to display simple calculations based on Price and your custom field.

For example, you can create a custom Product Field for “Discount Rate” and have another custom Product Field that will automatically calculate the “Discount Price” based on Price x Discount Rate.

When you are entering Products into an IBO, you can fill in the Discount Rate and the Discount Price is automatically shown.

Save Reminder

If you are editing an IBO and forget to click “Save” before leaving the page, a friendly reminder will pop up to protect against losing data.

Search by Custom Lookup

If you have set Custom Fields or Custom Lookups for IBOs, you can now search using either of these in the IBO List.

Sales Cycle Manager On Demand 2.0

Posted in News,Sales Cycle Manager,Sales Software by Dan Wood on the March 29th, 2011

We’re proud to announce today the launch of Sales Cycle Manager On Demand 2.0. Version 2.0 is an exciting milestone for us here at SalesWays! We’ve been working hard building many new features in response to your feedback.

Sales Cycle Manager On Demand is now faster and more user-friendly than ever.

In version 2.0, you can configure the Products setup in a number of ways depending on your needs. There are several options that allow you to make entering product information for sales opportunities as simple or as detailed as needed.

There’s also a new custom IBO field that can be used to add any kind of information to each sales opportunity, for example an internal reference number or commission-tracking code.

New data export formats give you greater flexibility in how you pull and use data, and a new analytics section for administrators adds a new dimension of reporting for your organization.

Below is a list of all major feature updates in Sales Cycle Manager version 2.0.

New features and enhancements

User Features

  • Improved speed and performance
  • Improved flow – column sorting and page settings are preserved as you navigate through the application. When you come back to the planner view from another screen it remembers which priority tab you were looking at previously.
  • Search by country is now available in the IBO list in version 2.0.

Administrator Features

Export Options

  • New Export Formats – You can now export to CSV, XLS or HTML formats. These options are helpful to accommodate a wider range of spreadsheet programs.

Users

  • Ignore IP Whitelist – Enable a user to have access to Sales Cycle Manager from anywhere, regardless of your IP Whitelist settings.
  • Export User List – This is handy is you want to export your list of users for use in an external emailing tool, for example.

Roles

  • Assign Roles – If a user is removed from an assigned role where they own any open IBOs, a toolbox will open that prompts you to re-assign the open IBOs to another user and role. This ensures that all open IBOs are being looked after even when there changes in your organization.

IBO Form

  • Default Expert Mode – Enable this option to automatically open the Expert Mode in the Sales Cycle Dashboard for new IBOs.
  • Advanced IBO Role Filter – If enabled, a user who has multiple roles can choose which role(s) an IBO should belong under. This can be set to ‘required’ to force each IBO to belong under at least one of the user’s roles.
  • Attachments – Option to disable attachments for IBOs and Interactions
  • Custom Field - Add an extra field to the opportunity form. This is a text field and can be used to store information about an IBO such as a reference number.

Product Setup

  • Hide Product Groups, Hide Product Number, Hide Qty & Unit Price – Options to simplify adding products to IBOs if desired.
  • Custom Product Information Fields – Administrators can add custom fields for Products. The custom fields can be text input fields or selection boxes. Administrators can define the name of the custom field and its options that are available to users in the IBO form Product Information section.

Analytics

  • Login Activity – Administrators can view a log of users and their login activity. Can be exported.
  • IBO Activity – Administrators can view a log of IBO activity including user, IBO number, time-stamp and actions (save or delete). Can be exported.

SCMgr On Demand PR 1.6: upload files and add products on the fly

Posted in News,Sales Cycle Manager,Sales Software by Dan Wood on the November 2nd, 2010

Private Release 1.6 of Sales Cycle Manager On Demand is just around the corner. Here’s a peek of what’s coming in PR1.6:

File Attachment Upload

When managing sales opportunities, keeping organized is critical to your success. So where do you keep the documents and files that belong with each sales opportunity?

Sales Cycle Manager On Demand PR1.6 will give each member of your sales organization the ability to upload file attachments to sales opportunities. This can be quotes, specifications, call reports, or any other relevant documents.

For each sales opportunity, a sales person can log critical customer interactions, such as phone calls, meetings, demos, visits, or emails, and upload one or more files that belong to that interaction. This produces a history of what has been happening with that sales opportunity and collects all the relevant documentation to go with it. Now you’re organized and everyone else on your team knows where to find that quote, spec, report, meeting agenda, presentation, or pdf.

Add Products on the Fly

Some of our customers have requested the ability to add products on the fly while inputting a sales opportunity. So we’ve built this option into PR1.6!

By default, Sales Cycle Manager On Demand has product and product group lists that site administrators can populate with their organization’s products. When a sales person is entering or updating a sales opportunity, they can choose from the list of products to add to the opportunity. The product price, quantity and description are added to the IBO (sales opportunity) and rolled into the sales forecasts in real time.

If the “Add New Products On IBO” function is enabled, this allows users to enter new products as they are creating or editing a sales opportunity. This is a real advantage for some companies where the product list is not set and they need the flexibility to change their products, quotes or prices depending on the nature of each deal they are working on or managing.
