General User Guide
Admin & Setup Guide

Add Custom Products

If your organization offers consulting, project-based work, or custom services you can now quote each sales opportunity with a unique name, price and description, rather than choosing products from a set product list.

Document Management

You can now attach up to 10MB of files to each sales opportunity you are tracking. You can even upload files for each critical interaction that you record for your opportunities.
Add quotes, specifications, presentations, reports, anything you need. They are stored securely in encrypted format.

New Security Feature: Session Timeout

Left your computer on at the office? No problem. Your account is safe. Your session will automatically be logged out after a set amount of time. This option is configurable.

Enhanced Export

Export performance has been improved. It now takes less time than ever to pull a .csv file from your sales cycle planner view, forecast view or opportunities view (IBO List), or to export all of your data in one go.

User Roles

User roles are now displayed in each user profile. This helps managers and admins see who belongs to which team, division, territory or any other role you’ve set up for your organization.

Number Formats and Currencies

We’ve made it easier to choose the currency display and number formatting for your organization, as well as customized number formatting for each user in your account.

SCMgr On Demand PR 1.6: upload files and add products on the fly

Posted in News,Sales Cycle Manager,Sales Software by Dan Wood on the November 2nd, 2010

Private Release 1.6 of Sales Cycle Manager On Demand is just around the corner. Here’s a peek of what’s coming in PR1.6:

File Attachment Upload

When managing sales opportunities, keeping organized is critical to your success. So where do you keep the documents and files that belong with each sales opportunity?

Sales Cycle Manager On Demand PR1.6 will give each member of your sales organization the ability to upload file attachments to sales opportunities. This can be quotes, specifications, call reports, or any other relevant documents.

For each sales opportunity, a sales person can log critical customer interactions, such as phone calls, meetings, demos, visits, or emails, and upload one or more files that belong to that interaction. This produces a history of what has been happening with that sales opportunity and collects all the relevant documentation to go with it. Now you’re organized and everyone else on your team knows where to find that quote, spec, report, meeting agenda, presentation, or pdf.

Add Products on the Fly

Some of our customers have requested the ability to add products on the fly while inputting a sales opportunity. So we’ve built this option into PR1.6!

By default, Sales Cycle Manager On Demand has product and product group lists that site administrators can populate with their organization’s products. When a sales person is entering or updating a sales opportunity, they can choose from the list of products to add to the opportunity. The product price, quantity and description are added to the IBO (sales opportunity) and rolled into the sales forecasts in real time.

If the “Add New Products On IBO” function is enabled, this allows users to enter new products as they are creating or editing a sales opportunity. This is a real advantage for some companies where the product list is not set and they need the flexibility to change their products, quotes or prices depending on the nature of each deal they are working on or managing.

Sales Cycle Manager On Demand – PR 1.5

Posted in News,Sales Cycle Manager,Sales Software by Dan Wood on the October 25th, 2010

We are rapidly continuing our development of Sales Cycle Manager On Demand with Private Release version 1.5, now live and 1.6 coming out soon!

Private Release 1.5 brought forward some powerful features including enhanced security, currency and localization support. and import and export capabilities.

The Network Access feature lets you define an IP address white list, which means you can lock out login attempts from network locations outside of your range of specified addresses, adding even more security to your sales opportunity management process.

International number formatting can now be set as an organization default as well as individually set for each user. This is part of our larger road map of full international and localization support.

Speaking of international support, Sales Cycle Manager On Demand is already available in English, German and Portuguese languages. Like number formats, language preferences can be set per user, which means if you have an international team each person can use Sales Cycle Manager in their preferred language. More languages will be available in the future.

The importing feature enables users of other editions of Sales Cycle Manager to import their IBOs (sales opportunities) and get going in Sales Cycle Manager On Demand with no delay. You can also pull sales opportunities in from any other SFA or CRM tool or spreadsheet.

If your sales organization has multiple lists, databases or collections of sales opportunity information, Sales Cycle Manager On Demand is an excellent way to bring it all together, organized and accessible, into one secure place. The role hierarchy feature ensures that each user has access only to the opportunities that they need to, or should have, access to. Then, since your sales opportunity information is already consolidated, when you need to see a sales forecast it’s only a click away.

Another feature of Private Release version 1.5 is the export function for the IBO List view. This means you can quickly pull a .csv format copy of your IBOs (sales opportunities). You can also filter down to a list of sales opportunities based on status (open, closed, canceled, won or lost) or filter by company, contact name, or the description of the sales opportunity.

Private Release 1.6 is just around the corner, so stay tuned. As always, we are happy to hear any feedback or questions you have, letusknow@salesways.com.
